Insert Flash Issue with IE

Hi,

FIrst of all, the editor is great.

We are testing with the trial license, but we are having problems with the insert flash.

When we click the insert flash button, we can't browse through folders.

if we click a folder the insertflash.aspx hangs.

When we click the insert flash button and we can create a new folder/delete an existing folder, after creation/deletion the insertflash.aspx hangs.

When we close the insertflash.aspx click the insertflash button again, the folder we created is visible.

I can reproduce the issues (except the folder creation) on http://cutesoft.net/example/general.aspx

The weird thing is, when we click on the insertflash button, and first click on a flash file (so it starts playing in preview pane), then we can browse the folders and create folders without the insertflash.aspx hanging.

For deleting folders this work-around does not work.

We tested this on IE6 and IE7.

In FireFox it works oke.

We have downloaded it and replaced the original file. But the problem is still there.

btw. I'am using version 6

It's strange.

Can you reproduce this issue in the following example now?

If not, can you just download the whole control and try again?

Yes, I can still reproduce the problem. (not for creating folders due to access limits).

What I do is the following:

* open http://cutesoft.net/example/general.aspx

* I click on insert flash button

* I click on the folder 'Member'

then the window hangs.

The same thing happens locally with adding/removing folders.

And with FireFox 2.0.0.9 there is no Issue (only with IE 6 and 7).

Please clear your browser cache and try again. I belive this issue is fixed.

I have tested it on multiple computers again. But I still can't browse. If I select one of the flashfiles so it starts playing in the preview pane, then I can browse.

note: This problem does not occur with Insert Media. There I can browse immediately with IE.

I can't find a way to reproduce it in the following example:

Can you download the latest build and try again?

If you still have problem, can you put an example online?

Adam,

We found the issue.

If we use the insert media button, we can browse the folders by single clicking.

When we click the insert flash button, we can browse. But we have to double click the folder we want to open. After that we can browse by single clicking the folders.
If we click the insert flash button and select a flash file for preview, then we can browse by single clicking the folders.

In short:
We can browse the folders by single-click when 'insert flash' is clicked.
But we first have to

- select a flashfile for preview
or
- double click the first folder we want to open

I have also tested this at http://cutesoft.net/example/general.aspx
